Long story short, I have a 5/10 girlfriend and a really awesome daughter. I have started a business that nets me about 2500-3000 a month in the active season (April-October) Off-season I will net about 1400.

My girlfriend is attending some kind-of like cooking training program called servsafe. Shell graduate from it in about a month from now.

We are thinking of leaving this shitty apartment here in New England and moving to my moms house in Florida to stay in an extra bedroom. (very big house with yards and stuff.) We will avoid the winter and save ourselves the expense of around $1200 a month. She wants to look for a cooking related job in Florida.

I did a test run of my business down in Florida while on vacation for a few weeks. I have to do things at a lower hourly rate and market myself more heavily but it worked out to be just as good as it is up here. (its easier in Florida because of stuff.)

Is this a bad idea, Should I just stay here?

Consider how many people lived on planet earth during le boomer generation and how many live now.
Hint: there currently lives more than double how many people lived in the 1960's.

In combination with immigration flooding the job market and driving wages down and all the technology that exists now it is not a surprise that a great deal more people still live with their parents past 18. >You wouldn't be reprimanded for coming in late, what if you came to work in a tank top, shorts and flipflops as a professional?

I come in late every day and leave early actually. I don't own a tank top nor do I wear flip flops; others here do wear them though. However, when I go to a restaurant and don't wear flip flops, I do so because it's respect for the decor of the place...just a social custom. I don't feel I'm controlled by going there and adapting my clothes. Some people don't care in those establishments too...it's just a personal thing...and hardly comparable to your parents wiping your ass.

But only a child would look at their immediate surroundings and think, "this is how the world works."

If you frequently check out 2nd hand stores once every week or two you can actually find some good stuff.

You can also find pretty nice stuff on Ebay for a lot less. I can get used Allen Edmond dress shoes that are worth like $200 for $60 if I'm patient for example.

Why does everyone ask this? Its not like idling on 4chan is particularly demanding of anyone's time or energies. Insulting you doesn't take a lot of effort -- you make it pretty easy.

And no, I don't intend to teach you anything. You've made it clear that you're beyond help. But others will browse this thread and see our discussion. Do you think they'll want to follow your advice (from the loser living with his parents) or my advice (from the self-made millionaire)?

Business owners are subject to their own god damn desires. If a business owner does not want to work, he doesn't have to.

YOU on the other hand are subject to the desires and whims of your bosses, no matter how much you think you aren't.

I studied everything possible: criminology, forensics, and criminal psychology. I learned from monks and martial artists, mastering every fighting style. ask your professor if he does open book tests at the beginning of the semester and just buy a hardcopy if he doesn't or a pdf isn't available

if you buy used from other students, you can sell the book later for equal or more money.

I had a roommate who would scam professors into giving him free books. He'd show up early and distressed without a backpack and give them a sob story about how someone just stole his backpack with all his supplies and hundreds of dollars worth of books and they would give him a copy they had lying around or a slightly older edition.
