Very hard to say. This is still a very new and volatile space. Right now there are only three modes the crypto markets seem to follow. Sideways trading, fomo rocket ships, and fud sell offs. A sustained bull run is going to require real use cases and working products and real investor capital moving into the space.

what the earlier guy said, high speed FOMO growth seems to be a primary form of growth in crypto, which is why it's hard to predict. They come almost randomly and hard and fast. This is why the general recommendation to ppl new in crypto is pick a project you think has a good technical basis and HODL until one of these random FOMO growth spurts occurs.

Ethereum allows the funding of internet startups and is tokenizing securities but the legitimacy (and thus massive capital inflow) these new token securities need is still to come and will take a while.

Now, the next step, mass adoption of decentralized content centric blockchains (gaming or social media with all the positive attributes, such as immutability) are yet to come

Id say exchanges/decentralized ezchanges and payment processors will be gainers in 2018. Kyber network, 0x etc
