I bought BTC.

Guess what, I've been getting international calls on a daily basis.
There's only one exchange that asked me for my phone number, and it's pretty much the main place where people buy their BTC and ETH.

So, yeah, how great it is to be in the crypto game. Day and night I receive calls from foreign countries and when I pick up, it's just silence, and it probably costs me $20 just to pick up.

Be your own bank, huh? Money without middlemen, huh?

>> No.8245611

Yeah exchanges are awful and saying there is no middle man is pretty much a scam to get you into the ponzi.
But receiving calls? Never heard of.

>But receiving calls? Never heard of.

How can I be the only one?

I've literally never given out my phone number to anywhere else than crypto services.

Honestly, I'd rather deal with central banks and FIAT than shady exchanges that sell your information and could disappear overnight.

The only non risk placement is stocking metals under your bed. Every thing else is a risk, especially banks and FIAT.

Nah I get calls from weird people trying to sell me shit aswell, and even most of my family doesn't know my phone number. Just pick up the phone and don't say anything, some calls record your voice and stuff and than hang up.

OP you are a fucking brainlet. Scam rooms auto-dial everyone. It has nothing to do with buying or not buying crypto. You don't have to give your number to anyone to get the calls... BUT if you answer them (even just to swear at them) it tags you as an active number and they will be more likely to call again. Not answering eventually saps their interest in you. You aren't special. It's not all about you. It is just the world doing its thing.

>> No.8246736

>>8246657

Why are the calls silent?

I really miss telemarketers that I could yell at. It was satisfying.

>> No.8246794

>>8246736
The rooms are auto-dialing hundreds of numbers a minute. If a pajeet gets stuck on a live call where he is making his pitch to some other anon he won't be able to get to your call in time before you hang up. But if you answered it does tag your number for a later callback.

I never even thought about it, but this shit probably started when I bought my BTC for the first time. Spooky stuff my dudes.

Do I break any laws if I say this to a telemarketer:

>I don't know who you are.. I don't know what you want.. but I'm gonna find you.

>> No.8246843

I used to get these every fuckin day. One day i started calling them back. After a few hundred calls on day one they eventually blocked my number and stopped calling.

>> No.8246933

>>8246817
Who cares. Tell them you'll burn their house and rape their children. It makes no difference. They are crooks and all they want to do is find live numbers to call back with some new pitch (the robot voice that says you've been approved for a payday loan, the robot voice that says they are the IRS, the pajeet who says he is from Microsoft, the robot voice that says they are the police). You are missing the entire point.

When BTC was mooning last December, I got a text message from a number in Minnesota telling me to buy BTC while I still had a chance. It even used little rocket ship emojis. The only service I gave that phone number to was Coinbase.
