any bitmex pros here?

have a question on mechanics

if i look at the xrp market, it says the mark price is based on the XRP/BTC market on poloniex, and i believe the index price is an average of several exchanges.

the mark price is 0.00009085

the price on poloniex is 0.00008997

index is 8995

can anyone explain why the mark price is significantly higher than the polo market(and higher than all other markets?)
