There some alt coins I want to buy but I'm not sure if BTC will rally before alts pump again, or if alts will pump first. Should I just hold my BTC until we get a trend confirmation?

In same boat. My entire portfolio was alts.. as soon as BTC goes up all my alts drop.. this time I'm in BTC for the pump then I'm going into the eth pump then I'm going back to my alts. Hopefully at a lower satoshi price then they are now. But I'm interested in other points of view.
