can someone please tell me why the neo mark price is so much different than every exchange price?

currently at about $117 when every exchange is 120+

i thought the mark price was based on other exchanges though. so it shouldnt be able to drop below other exchanges - which never went to 117

MEX has it's own pricing, just as every other exchange, you'll notice that some exchanges are higher in price than others, and some less, it's the same here, They don't all follow the exact value given by coinmarketcap, as it changes too quickly to update dynamically across every platform, not to mention that the price is affected by demand here

so its saying its basing the price on the neo BTC market on binance? but i go there, and its the same thing - not even close to the same price

please tell me someone knows whats going on

to reiterate, my understanding is bitmex doesnt have a neo market, they use their own mark price which is like an average of other exchanges. then people buy or sell contracts on whether this mark price will go up or down

but the mark price is very different than what i see on other exchanges

please point out my errors
