It's not a scam but it is a pretty left-field application of a cryptocurrency. It will be an interesting test of how much app adoption translates to token adoption. I have very little doubt that at least some proportion of shopping obsessed normies will use the app. Will that translate into token value? Who knows.

Yeah, in a way, but in another way they're just johnny on the spot. They started it as a simple image browser but then realised the application for shopping. They were kinda torn to pursue seeing how fucking vacuuous but addictive it is. Then they spoke with the vaultoro ceo and he recommended they do an ICO. They came back a couple of weeks later with the idea fully formed and the way they came to an internally consistent position was by doing the radical thing of giving customers their data as an asset. Data is basically the biggest market on the net and purchasing intent is kinda the holy grail of marketing and they chose not to capitalise on that from you but rather to allow you the opportunity to consent for them get access to it in exchange for coin.
