>tfw the only high paying, respected jobs are unfulfilling autistic STEM shit

I don’t give a fuck about le coding xD, or electrical Engineering or w/e. I’m a normal human being not some Big Bang nerd. I just wish I could buy some farmland somewhere. Why are all the fulfilling jobs like teaching or non profit work so low paying, but Rain Man freaks with the soul of an insect make bank doing some insect minded work.

Hi OP idiot, in America you are paid what your skills are worth. This worth is assigned by what people are willing to pay for the product you produce. Autistic stem nerds make things everyone uses (phones, websites, etc), so their skills are worth a lot. It’s not that complicated.

Or if you’re such a chad then go into finance or law and make big bucks. But you have to be a smart chad. If you’re not, tough luck, welcome to poverty

Bleeding hearts like OP aren't actual bleeding hearts, they are delusional and lack self awareness. 99% of labor in human history did not feel "meaningful".

One of the benefits of working for non-profits etc is enabling your own narcissism (patting yourself on the back). The "meaningful work" aspect is "priced-in" to the salaries of these jobs since the labor supply is so high and they generate little revenue. If meaning was TRULY was what you wanted, you could work a comfy, easy job that paid a lot, and volunteer doing meaningful things for charities. But no, you want to have free time to start a family, travel, do drugs, jack off, or whatever AND be able to be wealthy doing meaningful work.

You can be bored, or poor. You have to pick one unless you were born rich/talented.
