What is the point of the actual token? Isn't Ripple's founders using it simply to get free money? It really doesn't seem like any bank or anyone would prefer adopting a coin already owned by a bunch of assholes than just hiring people - like the Ripple's team - to create a new coin for them, a coin they would own the entire supply, or at least most of the supply. Why am I wrong to think that XRP's holders thinking their coin will be used by banks is any smarter than BAT holders thinking it's likely that Google is going to buy theirs?
