What would you do if you own "price.com" domain for example?

Look. You, don't need to be jelly.

I'm asking you a friendly question, what would you do if you have opportunity to buy a really great domain for eCommerce SEO and shit?

advertise the fact you are selling, do this for at least a year and you will have countless offers

get help from a financial advisor at a major bank to negotiate the deal if you're selling it for millions, there are some very intelligent people out there capable of orchestrating elaborate plots to scam you

Thanks anon, but I was wondering about the real purpose of a such domain.

What would you do if you have "price.com" ex. build an eCommerce platform, start affiliate marketing, your own advertising platform, comparison shopping engine... etc.

i wouldnt bother with that shit, id sell the domain to someone who has already put in the work and has a special interest in that domain.

Yep NOPE
I'd sell it for 50 or more million to some company.
Brands pay hundreds of millions just for their logos. Why wouldn't they pay a comparable amount for some prime real estate on the interweb

But of you develop it properly you probably can start making more than 50 mil per year? And with such domain this should not be that difficult? Am I correct, or maybe missing something?

invest 50mil, make passive income. you don't want to be a shopkeeper, trust me

Nothing about that is easy, man. Personally, I don't know how I would do any of it. I would have to have someone else do it. Not to mention I have no ideas.

It's a problem of delayed gratification and effort. 50 mill NOW? or POSSIBLY 50mill/year in 5 years.
>5 years
These things don't happen overnight.

The thing is, these 1 word domains aren't actually great. Look at furniture.com and pets.com, and countless others during the bubble. It's actually far too generic to build a brand around.

TL;DR sell it to a moron for a lot of money, and use all that money to start another company.
