Hi guys I am a recent high school graduate, (18) in a toxic living situation. I went on the route of joining the air force instead of going straight to college; like most of my friends are doing. I thought it would be a faster process, just sign some papers and get shipped out but now my recruiter is telling me that i have to wait for one of my jobs that I picked to become available to get a ship date, then i even told him about the situation as a whole and he said the earliest he could get me out would be November with the job known as fuels. So tell me straight /biz/ am i fucked? I want to be able to live comfortably and be able to support my parents, so i thought that joining the service would be a good way to get a headstart on everyone else but, as the new college semester rolls around the cornor i can't help but feel a slight stupidity on my part. Im in dire need of advice from you guys on this board. Thanks for reading this and any advice would be appreciated, pic not related.

The military is what people do when they either 1) Are just flat out fucking retarded and have no way of ever functioning normally in society 2) It's a swan song for a very bad situation (This is you).

November is not that far away, so try to find some way of getting out of your current situation that is causing you problems. Go to the hospital or police station and see if they can give you the contact information for a place that helps people in your situation.

Your only other options are to either put up with what you have or yolo it in the woods for 6 months
