What is better statistically?

A) Sell fast at smaller loss and risk missing recovery
B) Hold and wait for recovery and risk liquidation

sell fast at a small loss and buy back in cheaper than when you sold

The problem is, how do you know what a small loss is? Every moon mission has a few pullbacks. Get it wrong and you will be forced to buy back in higher

make sure u do the second part, dont get too greedy with the buy back in price

I consider <5% a small loss.

doesn't matter what i fucking do. it feels like i'm just throwing money away.

Buy when you feel like it's a bad time to buy.
Sell when you feel like it's a bad time to sell.
It's ultra hard to do this, but you can train yourself.
You also need iron patience because it will go the wrong way at the start.

C) buy in at a good entry point and never worry about A or B
but to answer your question it depends on how risky your investment is
FOMO on the latest pajeet shill and end up buying the top: sell as fast as you can 10% losses will feel like a mercy compared to whats in store
buy btc now at 11.7 and it dips to 10k: hold

You're probably right.
The higher the risk the earlier you should sell when things start going wrong.
