So I just stumbled upon this forum and I read a little about Chainlink because everyone is talking about it in here. I'm completely baffled. I find this project very unique and promising, but it seems to be known only on this site, why so?

What have I missed? Why doesn't, for example, the ETH community to which I belong discuss chainlink?

/r/ethtrader has a generally positive outlook on ChainLink actually. Go find some of the threads and you'll see what I'm talking about

It caught on with /biz/ like wildfire because
A) Sergey is fun to meme
B) The fundamentals are great. It's a valid solution to the oracle problem, which NEEDS to be solved before smart contracts can be useful

Because /pol/ always chooses one thing and one thing only. These faggots choose to Hodl one coin and if you meme them they jump on board. I believe in the tech behind it but just seems like other projects are doing the same thing.
