The main one is that when fucking idiot normans wake the fuck up I think they will he able to understand REQ and its use case better than they will with LINK. That doesn't make LINK a bad project and I will probably buy some in the future but just now I am buying REQ.

I've never used bitpay so I'm definitely naive when it comes to that. But the goal of Request is that not only can it be used as a one time payment system for crypto - its going to allow for recurring payments and really any consumer transaction. If you have a monthly bill Request can allow you to schedule monthly payments with crypto, the applications are much broader. Competition is inevitable in this space, but I think theyre aiming to solve slightly different problems.

>> No.7816607

If Bitcoin hits 6k again, what's the expected price for REQ? I'm awaitning for this to increase my stack to 50k

>> No.7816625

>>7816210
It explains it so simply man. If you don't want to read the paragraph here it is.

The core idea is simple. The payee makes a Payment Request via Request Network. The payer, upon accepting the request, pays the payee through Request Network. Both the payment request and the payment are registered as a single ledger entry on the blockchain, ensuring a clear and immutable record. And because payment information is never shared, the risk of a malicious party intercepting banking information is negated.

You can buy whatever you want using the Req platform. Would be the most dumb down single sentence answer.

Not in the real world, no. Competition is fierce. First one who ships a product wins. Being the first one in any niche is the winning strategy. That's the only barrier. Not fees. You can custom build it later on with agile development when you have the funds from sales. By the time you come into the market with your product, I already have brand recognition. That's how you start-up.

For the people that don't know what the coinbase thing is

Coinbase:
>Pay with either ETH,BTC,BCH,LTC on websites
>Merchant receives whatever you paid with (if you paid with LTC the merchant receives LTC)
>That's it just a simple payment portal for those 4 coins
>charges between 3-5% Fees

Request Network:
>Pay with all fiat and cryptocurrencies
>You can pay with BTC but the merchant will receive USD or whatever the fuck he chooses he wants (Thus the merchants don't have to actually hold any cryptocurrency for them to still support it)
>Does all the accounting, invoicing, auditing for the business saving them tons of money
>Fees between 0.05-0.5%

This is like saying Disney World will close down now that the Traveling Carnival is in town.

>> No.7816957

>>7816763
>i feel like businesses don't want the volatility of crypto.

exactly. this is why REQ payments will be bound to fiat, a dollar is a dollar, no matter what. If you change ware to get your money back, you will get the amount in fiat, not the amount crypto you paid.
this is something businesses will adopt.
