Somebody has to though. Really - look at EVERY other major industry & how it was disrupted by the advent of the Internet.

Except Finance - still using dinosaur legacy systems. Oh sure, there's been SOME improvement - but not to the same degree as other industries.

So why not? I want to be able to keep my portfolio in my own wallet, and be able to cash it out in seconds, while trading on EVERY global market, able to transfer ownership directly to other parties, bundle assets into other smart contracts, interact with them problematically, have them held in trust by a DAO etc.

And I'm in Finance too - but I've been having this conversation more & more recently. The insistence on keeping everything centralised and Balkanised has got to go. I know it means less ticket clipping for gatekeepers - but long term this is the future. Whoever gets on it FIRST is going to clean up.

Check out the Australian ASX project for example, that's a first step in this direction. But if that can be generalised to something like Link we're talking BIG changes & soon.
