Sorry for behaving like a fucking idiot but can someone explain to me if there's a term for good inflation ? Such as both the growth of prices and wages or a high growth of prices but with a higher growth of wages?
Sorry again for asking a stupid question.

What do you mean by "term"?

Well inflation is a term with a general negative connotation to it but if both the prices and the wages rise in a short amount of time and especially if the wages rise higher than the prices ,then it's not really negative ...so I'm guessing there must be a different word to refer to this kind of situation

Thank you

You can't deny it's mostly used as a negative term though.

"Good" inflation is the result of the overall economy growing, which means that the total amount of dollars in the system has increased.

"Bad" inflation is the result of government policies that artificially weaken the dollar.

There are no words that differentiate them to my knowledge

Uneducated people think inflation is a negative term. You're not gonna convince them otherwise by using a different way of referring to it.

Name one positive side in inflation for a single person.

> forces money to move instead of saving
is a negative for a person.

but is good for an economy.

Small amounts of inflation indicate a healthy economy in which firms and individuals are borrowing money to invest in making more money.

Contrast to that is people using declared savings to invest but it creates a higher element of risk because their money can gain value by doing nothing anyway.

It's the reason investors hate gold.
