What are the pros so far? Is there any interest or they are just good guys that can spend 50 millions+ on it without any interest? Why should they care and heavily fund a project that they do not own? Bitcoin is fully decentralized and without leaders. I'm trying to understand how btc supporters view this since they defend decentralization, and because of recent posts on rbitcoin about "we have no leader".

they're funding a subset of developers, but blockstream itself is just a company created by a few people that had been developing bitcoin for years before then.

it's always the late adopters that seem to have a problem with them, they just want a chance at getting rich and think if bitcoin somehow dies their little shitcoin will be the one to take it's place. pure delusion.

regardless, if they try anything the vast majority of the community disagrees with, then they simply get pushed out. so far, that hasn't happened, bcash was just a chink money grab that wasnt even going to exist until a chink miner decided they could make a lot of money by breaking satoshi's pow algorithm and mining it in cycles.

and sorry, your favorite altcoin is even worse for centralization. 50 million is pocket change compared to all the money us early adopter have in bitcoin.

if you were paying attention, you would realize that a decent % of our money went into ethereum, and then a lot more at the start of last year.

there are alternatives, but they do not come in the form of a bitcoin codebase with a few changes.

They're not good guys. They attempted to kill bitcoin and very nearly succeeded. That's what the money was for and what their job was, but ultimately they failed and hence no reup from the majority of investors, and now they're dying as Bitcoin Cash goes on without them.
