Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Interactive Brokers
>$1 commission per 100 shares. $10k minimum to open, $3k if 25 or under. Lowest margin interest. Free API access

TD Ameritade
>$6.95 commission per trade. No minimum to open. Fantastic data/charting through their free ThinkorSwim service

Why would Google or Facebook waste resources competing against hundreds of other companies who have already been developing their crypto tokens/currencies for years already? They're not going to compete against Ethereum you absolute brainlet.

Even if Google did get into crypto, which Microsoft seems to actually be doing (working on identity verification on blockchain), it would be nothing but a good thing. People will still develop seperate apps/technologies based on blockchain.

Blockchain is the future, and crypto is the future of investment. Stocks are dead.

>Why would Google or Facebook waste resources competing against hundreds of other companies who have already been developing their crypto tokens/currencies for years already?

If they think there's profit in it and they're able to completely take control of the majority of the market share single handed why wouldn't they do it?

If wouldn't be a good thing for the existing shitcoins, your magic internet shekels are going to be as worthless as the majority of dot com stocks from the 90s. As for stocks being dead and crypto being the future of investment? Why would I want my currency to be an investment? Extra extra news edition.

The senate have come to agreement on voting timetable for weed bill. Third reading vote (final step for the senate) will occur on or before June 7th. This timetable puts official legalization sometime late June/early July, and sales to be allowed starting roughly late August/early September.

Now, before screaming and wailing DELAY DELAY THE WORLD IS ENDING, this is actually good news. The conservative leader of the opposition in senate has agreed to the timetable. That means all sides of the senate are in agreement and on record saying this is the timetable they're okay with.

Outlook on USD as a currency? I think US fundamentals remain stronger than vast majority of developed markets and deficit fears are misplaced. US asset returns will continue to draw more foreign capital especially as lowered tax burdens lead to higher profits and increased real rates. The flows into US financial assets are more important than the current account for FX rates.
