Is anyone here trading using a system or bot? How's it going for you?

I'm practising my Pine skills (Tradingview's programming language for writing strategies), so if anyone has a simple strategy they'd like coded up and tested, I'll give it a shot.

I've been using this to short/long futures and it's been OK. Basically, green light buy, red light sell. Commisions could be a problem but it works pretty well. Maybe buy if in 3 different timeframes it switched to green recently?

Yes. Ideas are worthless. Even if a quant from a hedge fund comes and outlines their secret flagship strategy, I'm not going to be able to properly execute it.

Ok, so first thing: I'll add some extra inputs that let you specify those three timeframes that you want to watch.

Then I'll add another input so we can define how many periods 'recent' is.

It's probably going to need refinement anyways, as long as you don't trust it with too much money you might be able to learn when it fails more often.

Tried writiting a complicated trading bot past these few months. Completely worthless for most coins.
Some of them get predicted well enough to give a 99% return rate per order or more, but never more than 100%. Decent, considering I don't use any indicator metrics at all, but worthless.
For example a FUN run gave me 50 trades in last 40 days, it summed up to 80% return in this period, which is sad.
I would like to rewrite it in matlab and see if it changes anything. Perhaps it will be better, perhaps still shit. But I have wasted so much time on it, I don't wanna touch it anymore.
Perhaps it just needs a finishing touch and it will work like a magic, but I feel tired of it
