7640593 No.7640593 [Reply] [Original]

I've made a total of 1.7MM in under a year, having cashed out 350k so far. My life style hasn't changed, but I did quit working 6 months ago.

I am sort of depressed. Definitely happy because I have zero financial stress in my life (no mortgage, no student loans/debt, etc). I've been looking into charity work and have been taking painting lessons, but I know I'm not going to become a painter because that's fucking gay. I have no real hobbies besides drinking with my friends and playing video games, and sometimes photography.

What the fuck do I do with my life? I'm 31.

I'll give some thoughts but I would really appreciate your favorite coin list in return

Rent a cabin in the woods, no phone or internet. Chop down trees for the fire and shit. Read books and unplug for a while.

Get a sailboat and go around the Caribbean or down the western coast of mexico

Get lessons in something you like. I would do electronic music production. Sounds like you enjoy painting, or art in general. Why not visit a central hub of art (Berlin is trendy, Paris is classic) and live there as a hobo for a month?

At 31 I would be looking for a long term girlfriend. Check out those painting groups.

Good luck anon.

I think I need to find love.

I've been seeing a lot of hookers.... I'm sort of opening up a bit because I'm sipping on nice whiskey.

Hookers kind of distort my view on relationships. I don't care about pursuing women as much because I can call a beautiful woman (who I've built a connection with through repeated visits) to do whatever I want. Sometimes they even stay an extra couple of hours and we watch a movie. It's honestly kind of weird. The high end ones can turn into a FWB type situation (except you pay, obviously).

If your life is so meaningless then use it to give meaning to other people.

Look around you: there's plenty to do. chasing meaningless pleasures which won't make you happy no matter what biz says. Ask yourself why most lottery winners are right back where they were or worse within a year of winning. Past a point of avoiding being foreclosed on and paying your bills, having money doesn't do much for happiness. It just amplifies whatever your personality is. If you've got a destructive personality watch out. So here's what you do: instead of searching out meaninglessness pleasure, search out meaningful responsibility. Look for ways to make things better. Start with yourself. Ask yourself what needs to be done around your house or what you've been doing wrong. Your mind will give up a big list. Do that for a year. Then by small increments you'll be in such a hugely advanced state from where you were the year prior that maybe you can shoulder more responsibility and help out your family (not financially--). Then ask yourself what you can fix in your community. If your friends don't like that you're not a party retard anymore, forget em. That's tough but anon theres plenty to do. Don't be a bitch the rest of your life. Come join adulthood. It is awesome in a lot of ways.

You have the money and you have the time. One morning you'll wake up, step out of the house, the sun will hit your face and you will see. The plants will be growing, the house will stood strong and your children will be playing in the backyard. And you will know you made it, because that is what we do. Interest is low around 3% max. You need to be getting 6+% a year in growth minimum. 1.7m isn't a lot of money if you plan on living in western countries it will only get you middle class. Don't forget your income being taxed. You'd want to invest everything do not buy a car or house for cash. 1.7m is a lot of money but unless you are going to move to a Third World country or live in a rural town and sacrifice things like great shops, entertainment opportunities and possibly education then it isn't enough.

1.7m x 6% is 102k after tax lets say 30% it's 71k.

>Mortgage going to be 45k principal and interest maybe 5-10k more
>Car 10k a year fuel service etc
>Food 21k a year for two people $400 a week taking into account eating out once or twice a week
>10k other expenses like bills, medical
>15k holidays this is for 2-3 times a year

Listen, Anon

This is temporary.

Human beings generally thrive the best when we have a purpose, and we will often experience sadness or depression when things we have been working toward come to fruition. This is not necessarily because it is more about the journey, but because the destination you have arrived at isn't giving you the sense of fulfilment you had expected arriving there would bestow upon you.

The fact that you now don't have to worry so much about money (like most people here do) is great.

God, friends, family, community and a sense of accomplishment and purpose through your work. This is what makes a man truly happy OP. Find a church, find God, attend to your spiritual needs, build a community around it and use your money to influence the world for good.

Luke 12:15
>And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Ecclesiastes 5:10
>Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless.

By the way, Ecclesiastes and Proverbs is full of wisdom regarding wealth and happiness. I suggest you read those books in the bible OP. Ecclesiastes was written by a man who had it all yet never made him happy. He was the first recorded ever person who had an existential crisis. Proverbs is full of wisdom on how to live a truly happy life. Atheists/edgy satanists/pagans automatically brush this off because they think they are now wiser in their materialistic hubris but the Written Word is actually full of wisdom and good advice.

Congrats on your success. I wish I could have the same. Every coin I've tried to invest in goes instantly to shit.

I would say the solution to your problem is challenge. In a way, investing in Crytpo was a challenge for you and you being successful made you incredibly happy. Now that the success if over you're "looking" for what the next challenge is to make you happy.

I really recommend learning a new language and then traveling to the country of the language you are learning. Learning a language is a challenge all on its own and you will be happy when you start being able to read and understand something you could not before, similar to how you were thrilled when you made gains and your research payed off.

Other people here are recommending women. I actually recommend against this as many men find when they are able to get a woman, they aren't fulfilled in any meaningful way. Fulfillment is something more than just sex, companionship, or hobbies. It's about triumph against a challenge, and women are low tier challenges unless the woman is truly something special (which 99% are not and the 1% have already been taken).

I also recommend staying as far away from gambling as you can.

>spiritual emptiness

i got u bro. it's not that you are empty, it's that you really aren't sure of what you believe.

read the basic holy books like The Bible, Quran, the Bhagavad Gita, etc...

you should also take a theology course. it's important to know why people believe what they believe. not just what they believe. The reason it's a good idea to do this is because it's important to think about your personal beliefs in the context of other world religions. people are often out of touch with what they believe, so learning about these things helps people sort themselves out spiritually. the important thing people miss is that it's not some journey where there is a clear forward path and some end point like "enlightenment" or "nirvana" or some bullshit like that. you need to metaphorically go backwards and sideways and in loops and eventually you'll just be more comfortable with what your beliefs are, and you'll feel a subtle sureness.

This is a catch 22. If you live a life of hedonistic pleasure seeking then you're shallow and selfish. If you live your life for others you are using them for your own psychological benefit, to give your life meaning, feel good about yourself and so on. People say the same about charity workers. It's not a reasonable criticism because it's psychologically inescapable.

Anyway I have kids but it's not just to give my life meaning, it's also for make benefit of glorious Aryan race.

I'm in a very similar boat man.

Basically identical. We're the same age. I'm guessing you're single as well (I was engaged 7 years ago and was almost engaged again about 2 years ago, but it wasn't meant to be).

I'm still running my company for the next 2 or 3 years to keep me grounded during this crazy market explosion. Not working sucks and can make you depressed because you don't feel like you have a purpose.

Once 2020 hits, I'm selling my company, and depending on how the market is doing, I will invest even more, or just hang it up and "retire". I put that in quotes because you shouldn't ever really "retire", not until you're pretty damn old, and even then, make sure you have hobbies.

I've got a laundry list of things I want to go do.

I want to become a highly certified skydiver/base jumper.

I want to visit all the Eastern European countries, trolling for a hot wife, possibly Estonian, those girls are amazingly gorgeous.

I want to learn Mandarin, Japanese and French. I'm already fluent in English and Spanish.

I want to sail to Point Nemo.

I want to hike the Appalachian Trail and photograph the entire thing.

I want to bike ride PCH from the border of Mexico to the border of Canada.

I want to take a ride on Virgin Galactic.

There's a ton of things you'll be able to think of doing if you sit down and set your mind to it.

Think of all the things you semi-entertained doing in your life, and start thinking about actually doing them.

You'll figure it out bro.

I have.

I look forward to the 2020's, but I'm also trying to enjoy this moment where random guys like us can take $50k and turn it into $50M.

Just enjoy it bro.

Don't buy for cash. You need to use your funds to get passive income. Interest on mortgage is only about 4% but you can easy get 6% growth so you're losing 2% a year maybe more.

>why are you buying shit instead of renting

are you fucking dense, renting is the worst financial option out there, it's literally burned money, it never does fucking anything for you in the future, at least with a house you can own something, and sell it later on in the future, usually for a profit too. You need to be a special kind of chromosome child to choose rent over purchase

Sorry to pester you all but pls help me out. i have a xanax problem and i need more or i could die. Xanax withdrawal can be lethal if you dont taper off slowly. I did this once successfully in the past but i stupidly got myself re addicted. ive havent bought any cause i need money for food and rent but im gonna run out of xan soon and i dont want to get siezures or go through the awful withdrawal again. tapering off is the only way to detox.
