I pay fixed fees, wich depend on which exchange I trade on. Tradegate is cheapest with a bit more than 15€ per trade, the other German ones are about 5€ more, foreign ones are 10 to 50€ more.
so depending on how much I'm buying, the percentages are between "holy shit!" and "kinda good".
Well, at least it stops me from buying too much small penny memes, since I would either have to put too much money into risk, or pay something like 50% in fees, so I'm kinda unsure whether I'm annoyed at this or not.

I've done construction work for about 15 years (my dad was a general contractor) and I've done pretty much everything from roofing to framing to concrete work to carpentry and finish work. Roofing and concrete work is pretty awful. Most of the other stuff isn't bad. Learn all you can learn and try to work into a foreman position or go out on your own as a general contractor. Tile and flooring isn't hard and can be extremely lucrative if you're running your own crew.

It’s an up and down business especially here but since he holds few employees and relies on subcontractors who have their own business he can ride out the down times while everyone else scrambled for work.

Yeah, the main thing is that you have to be able to find some sort of contentment while doing the work. I did really well in high school, was voted most likely to succeed in my senior class, then I went off to college and fucked off and flunked out. I was really bitter and embarrassed to come crawling back home and do basic manual labor alongside a bunch of uneducated Mexican immigrants for quite a while. Once I finally got my ego and superiority complex in check and was able to find some contentment in my work my life really turned around for the better. It knocked me down a few pegs and was probably one of the best character building experiences of my life. I don't do construction anymore but I'm glad I did for so many years because now I can fix pretty much anything around my house and save a ton of money over having to hire a contractor / plumber / electrician anytime something fucks up or I want to do some remodeling. It's nice knowing how things work and how to build things even if you don't make a lifelong career out of it.

This company invests in drug trials. They collect royalty once these new drugs are approved. That's where the dividend was originated. Most of these royalties have been expired. Now, they focused on acquiring finished product/business, Lasik clinics, high blood pressure, and ADHD medication. It has strong balance sheets. They also have been buying back their stock recently. You could make a lot of money doing a day trade on something like that, but you have to call it right. TSLA has been all over the place, but for some reason it tends to like the 320-360 range. My dad took me out of highschool early to do construction work. So I didn't really get much of the whole highschool experience. It does feel good knowing how to do things for yourself though. I installed some ceiling fans for my girlfriends parents while they where on a trip the other week the rooms didn't have the mounts in the ceiling or wiring. I wired and hung 3 fans in a day they couldn't believe it, it's like they get wet everytime they talk to me about things i can do like "OMG ANON I LOOOOVVVEEE THE FANS" I put can lights in their living room downstairs and everytime i see them they talk about them and how good i am at that stuff. lol it's all just basic ass shit that most people never cared to learn.

I think all men should do some construction in some point in their life, some will hate it and some will love it. I have friends that still do construction at 30 and love it, they don't see how i gave it up. They get to the job, talk about what they're doing that day, turn up the music and get to it till lunch time.

I actually took a construction class in Highschool along with Auto tech and small engines, I like the work. Especially small engines. IT took me forever to figure that out too but I love it. I’ve always built things since I was a kid.
It also saves a fuckload like you said. When I was flooded by hurricane Harvey my dad and I just came home, drug out our tools and went to work. 16 hour days but we moved back in to our houses in a couple of months where everyone else is still in travel trailers.
