The more I look into Roger Ver, the more I think he's a sort of Steve Jobs persona: passionate, eccentric, sometimes disingenuous, but absolutely convinced that this technology is going to change the world.
Very difficult to discern if he's acting or not, although he probably does seem to overreact at times.

I realise that for non ancaps, it's hard to understand. But we're not LARP'ing, not faking it, and really do believe this stuff. It's the entire purpose of the project; Destroy political authority, and we're not just "hey wouldn't that be nice" but "this would probably be the most beneficial thing that has ever been done in the history of mankind if we could pull it off".
