People that have to sleep 8-9 hours a day, are they genetically doomed?

Graduate, only been working for 1 year now. I have a strict timetable with 6 hours of sleep/day. I am trying to brute-force a habit that 'I'll get used to' after a while, but it just isn't happening. I feel like trash all the time.

I feel worn out at the age of 22, is it possible to maintain a good diet and reduce the hours of sleep you need?

Or am I...

Anyone on /biz/ feeling 'worn out', a term 60-year olds use?

Just sleep 8 hours and make up the lost time by giving up shitposting on 4chan.

your only solution is to cut down on your work hours

just go to your boss, and tell them you have to shave off four hours every day (I'm assuming you're working full time) for work safety

at the end of it, if you have your expenses covered just take the hit and your life will improve

Sounds to me like people who force themselves to only sleep 6 hours instead of 8-9 are the ones that are doomed.

But the most successful people sleep 3-5 hours/day? Is it possible to train yourself with hard work and determination, or have I lost the game in 1992?

never.

>>755871
>but the most successful people sleep 3-5 hours/day?

Nope. Some people may work 80-100 hours a week. Thats 11.5h/day-14h/day and then you still have time to get 6-7 hours of sleep.

>people willingly ruin their body and health because they want to be successful
Come on, you're smarter than this. What's next - start snorting coke to be more alert instead of sleepy.

This. Wealth is not just money. If you have all the money in the world but your body is in poor health, it means jack shit.

>> No.755915

You will need less sleep the older you get. You are comparing your daily habits to people a decade or more older than you. Listen to your body and get more sleep if you feel bad on 6 hours.

Eat real food, hit the gym, and SLEEP. I know is seems hard (boo fucking hoo) but it becomes habit and your body will thank you.

And don't forget to smoke cigars.

When I was 16 I could work out and feel fine on 4 hours of sleep, nowadays if I don't hit 8 I feel like ass.

I believe a 12 hour workday with a brain cleansed of waste and given an opportunity to reinforce neural connections is more effective than a 15 hour workday while sleep deprived.

If you're doing overtime washing dishes it doesn't matter but if you're trying to start a business and need to find a solution to a difficult problem then in general quality is better than quantity. It is like trying to open a safe, you could keep trying combinations until one works or you could study how the safe works and figure out a way to crack it.

You sleep 8 hours which gives you 16 hours of work time. More than enough.
Just manage your time better.

>> No.755996

I never use an alarm, but I've noticed when I exercise/nofap I tend to sleep less (down to about 7 from 9).

You're wasting all this time to become a fucking banking analyst and contribute nothing. Maybe you're supposed to feel like trash?

>> No.756021

You need proper sleep. That's it.

Some people can make do with less, some with more. You obviously need more than what you are getting now.

Disregarding your body and your brain's need for sleep will fuck you up, both now due to lower productivity, and later on due to a various host of illnesses.

Get the sleep you need, manage your time, try giving yourself just an 1 or 1,5 hours more sleep everyday. Life will become better

It is absolutely impossible to train yourself to need less sleep. You can learn to cope with feeling like shit every single day, though.
