I'm seriously considering this. rent in east Sydney is minimum $200 per week for one room in a sharehouse with 5 other smelly indians/chinese
my uni has showers at the gym that are outside the registered space. any student can use them
there are place to get clothes cleaned, with the money i'd save I can literally just eat out every day.

about to finish my engineering degree, had 25k in crypto at the peak, and now I'm at 9k. 1.) Invest in a portable power supply that can charge your stuff, unless your university has a 24 hour library. I found the solar panel attachment was a waste of money if you are going to not be camping but using the facilities of society.
2.) Sleeping bags are rated to survivability not comfort
3.) You can buy 6 cup of noodle for $1.50USD versus $1.00 for 3 at the dollar store. (Does AUS have those?)
4.) UPS store gives real addresses you can use on forms (another US only tip I guess)
5.) Buy Ozonium and a dust devil and spend as little time as possible in your car to keep the rank down.
6.) You can put your dirty laundry in a sealed 5 gal paint bucket to keep the smell from permeating.
7.) You'll be more tempted to eat out since you are always "out" so just make sure to keep some good shelf stable meats to keep you at bay like a summer sausage.
