Can someone please explain how cryptocurency is anonymous. How do you buy crypto online without an identity, banking information or paper trail leading to your bank account, as far as I know you can't buy crypto with cash, there is always some kind of online transaction. Wouldn't this basically be a financial dox once you pin an identity to a specific wallet.

its possible to remain anonymous but very difficult. unless you really know what youre doing you shouldnt mess around with it. even if you manage to pull shit off with localbitcoins, monero, etc you would have to keep all your money in cash and live like a drug dealer. depositing or withdrawing large sums of money from a bank account gets automatically flagged and if you get popped youre looking at money laundering.
