But I already do.

Aside from these fucking property prices/rents, it's nice if you're not in a poor area.

Yea dude, I used to live in NY. Go ahead and move there. Tell me how enjoyable it is when you are waking up at 5:00 am to shovel out your car so you can be at work by 8:00, and the snow stays on the street for 4 months which doubles your commute time.

> But I'll take the train

You do know that the trains all get delayed anytime it so much as drizzles, and that's an unacceptable excuse for hyperactive type A NY bosses. So that means to get at work by 8:00 for a 45 minute commute your ass better be on the 6:30 train at the latest.

Stay out of Berkely and some SF neighborhoods and you can easily avoid the SJW's.

40% of LA lives below the poverty line and California's middle class has shrunk 20% since 1990 (despite the state growing at about 1-2% yearly) and the average wages have fallen 6%.

California is a state filled with poor people, I say this as a Californian that has seen the fall first hand. It's no surprise that most of the richfags left are either trust fund kiddies or live with their parents that pay 80s era taxes on their seven figure homes due to prop 13.

California is a shit state to move to, evidenced by the huge amount of people (mostly middle class whites) leaving right now. This is especially true as the Drought and CALpers destroys the state's finances and services are cut to keep the books balanced. Silicon Valley tech companies are moving to Texas and Hollywood is gradually moving east to Chicago and NC due to tax breaks. Aerospace firms and defense suppliers have already moved to Nevada and Arizona because 90s NIMBYism kicked out the navy.

So, why would you want to move to CA, or LA at all?

Can't escape the safe handgun registry, CA AWB or the DROS unless you move across state lines. You can't escape from the high taxes (gas tax, property tax, water tax) either.

>California is a state filled with poor people
Kek you must live in a shit poor area in CA. I live in Orange County and literally nobody I know is "poor". There is so much wealth down here that people don't even know what to do with it all.

I live in the richest city in the SF bay area, fucking Palo Alto. less than 100 feet from the city limit is a literal ghetto. Right now, there's homeless people fucking everywhere (living in Belmont canyon, living in most of the parks, etc). I had a similar experience when I went to school in Irvine. For every Anaheim you get a Watts and a Compton.

And your own city admits this, even the state government does. Perhaps if you actually went outside your gated community you'd see how the state is falling apart. Wealth inequality here has grown immensely since the 2008 crash and it's only going to get worse.

http://www.la2020reports.org/

You'll feel it too. When your parents die, the state government will recalcuate the taxes on their home at the current level (as opposed to the prop 13 level your parents had) and you yourself likely won't be able to afford it. Overall, the wealth isn't going to last especially not when everyone with money is moving out and poor people from the disaster zone that is the Central Valley move in.
