Without devolving into Wojaks and memes, is anyone aware of any legitimate, fundamental reason why the crypto market has tapered by this much?

There doesn't seem to be a single, fundamentals driven factor doing this, that I'm aware of.

I know the Winkelvoss people sold approx. several thousand tokens, but with the daily volumes that we see, that's not even a drop in the bucket to move prices.

Any thoughts?

Its a volatile market to begin with so one person or groups of people selling any amount that disrupts it can cascade the entire situation directly into the shitter. Its more than likely an elaborate plan from large banking firms that we know invested heavily into crypto to inflate the market and then skate away with the cash from all the gullible tag alongs they lured in with all media buzz.

It was a ponzi honeypot and everyone fell for it.

This could be.

It started feeling like one after BTC hit $3K in late summer, and then continued to ascend. We also had a lot of institutions come in around that time, so it makes sense that they are cashing out now.

I support BTC going back to a stable $4K range and letting crypto develop more market and commerce applications, rather than FOMO and hype. It's more healthy.

Glad we're past the hype stage.

Core problems with btc.
Technically clueless oldfag trading bots dragging down the rest of the market from the downward pressure means no escape to uncorrelated crypto as the bots dump it to cover losses and accrue btc sats.
Likely aggravated by kike fuckery as they're pissed off over politics right now and are attempting to make their displeasure felt.
