Nocoiner pleb here - why does the government presume the right to regulate cryptocurrencies? I can understand their having a right to exert control over currency markets consisting of the currencies which they themselves, but why the fuck should USG have the right to tell crypto markets how to behave? So what if people want to blow their money on memecoins?

it can't

if you watched the hearing today they basically eluded to saying there's really nothing they can do because of the nature of the currency itself, but at the same time made it sound like they were going to do things to regulate it to appeal to boomer retards in govt who don't understand it

>kek im working on it, it will totally be regulate yep yep
>also its gonna be 20 trillion soon lol
>TOTALLY gonna be regulate though mark my words we're gonna do it!

todays hearing is the biggest news ever, and if you had half a brain you would be accumulating in this bear market

>> No.7383962

They're not regulating currencies anon, only US the behaviour of US citizens that wish to partake.

Arms, gambling and foreign trade are all similarly regulated.

because the federal reserve are using monetary policy to counter macro economic fluctuations to make all Americans better off. without the fed printing money at the right points of time, we would have 30% unemployment and since the fed can't print crypto, it should be banned for the greater good

They literally can’t do anything without imposing China like internet restrictions and firewalls which isn’t going to happen.

monopoly on violence

monopoly on violence

Human rights is a meme, those who control the violence control the people

because tether printed 3b usd out of nothing and used it to pump btc to then cash out in actual usd.

if large enough it can become an institutional problem for everyone. are we seriously doomed to repeat the boom bust cycle of casino capitalism?

Because the government knows what's best for you, and everything is safer and better when big brother has control.

I don't say that it's bad, I'm just pointing out that's how it is. Getting rid of the violence monopoly is a horrible idea.
