Deutsche Bank anon here. As I'm sure you've noticed, central banks are about to hike up interest rates world wide in order to initiate a long awaited correction in overheated stock markets. Which essentially means that a global market crash is just around the corner. In the first 5 days of February alone, more than $1 trillion dollars left the US stock markets.

I've said it in a couple of other threads, and the only reason I'm telling /biz/ this is because this was the best place to discuss crypto prior to the December boom, and the suicide threads is getting to me.

The bank I work for, and I assume other banks, are buying up Bitcoin and Ethereum. Why? I'm not sure. Especially since my particular bank listed Bitcoin as one of top ten threats against the global economy in 2018. But I'm assuming it has something to do with the impending stock market crash.

What I do know is that the execs would not give that specific instruction without anyone on the trading floor knowing what's going on, unless this is key strategic positioning. We would not be putting Bitcoin on our books if there was a chance of major losses.

Take this for what's it worth.

Well then it should be very easy for you to anonymously prove it. A note saying /biz/ in the cafeteria, your badge shopped to have your face be a pink wojak, that kind of thing.

I mean, unless you're just boringly bullshitting.

There are Bitcoin futures. There are Bitcoin commercials. Cryptocurrencies are mentioned millions of times on Bloomberg and CNBC. Did you really believe the bankers would let it die? Maybe 4 years ago.

Just because you want banks to be buying at this time doesn't mean they are.

Common sense should also be telling you not to fall for wishful thinking or uncritically believe 4chan posts.
