If you have anything you are not willing to 100% lose get out. Get out first thing in the morning.

The market is gonna open 1,200 down. Tomorrow will be Black Tuesday

This is the last warning

I don't think it's that bad but what do I know. It doesn't really make sense to me. All other aspects of the economy seem to be doing pretty well. Wages are up, Unemployment is down, auto sales are doing great. Seems like a bunch of wall street hooey to me.

What's the underlying cause behind this?

XIV gains off of market stability. Market went crazy, it lost 90% in after hours trading. A drop of 80% means XIV gets liquidated because Credit Suisse (bank that runs it) set that as the limit to protect themselves in the event of something like this.

That's bad. Bull market has been built partly on profit from driving wages down.

Unemployment rate is falling, but has actually slowed since Trump took office.

February earnings reports for many big companies (Alphabet, Chevron, etc) were positive but missed their targets.

As far as I can tell, an incredible amount of money has been put into betting that the markets would continue to steadily rise. The earnings reports blip has thoroughly burst the bubble of that confidence delusion.

>markets were on a nice bull run for extended period of time
>wall street got very itchy trigger fingers for anything remotely smelling like the faintest whiff of downturn
>Fed expected to raise interest rates four times this year instead of the planned three
>treasury bond yields increasing
>the aforementioned tend to be bad for the stock market as investors think that less people will invest in stocks if bonds are paying out better
>sell off starts
>nothing too crazy
>more sell offs
>nervous hands start twitching, they sell
>nervous sells trigger trading algorithms to sell

Basically wall street freaked out over nothing in particular. The economy is still strong. It will be fine. This will all seem very stupid in hindsight in a week or two if traders don't recognize it as stupid right now. It is very stupid, btw.
