all you need to know is shorting is actually the real gambling involved. people spout the bullshit that investing into crypto is gambling, which is true to an extent, but shorting in crypto is honestly good luck and being at the right place at the right time.

explaining shorts shortly: someone opens a short position on BTC with leverage that acts as a multiplier for the amount of money that BTC drops til their target price. if the price goes up and they don't have the equity to support the leverage, their position is liquidated and they lose their loan. however, i think one of the exchanges, can't remember which one allows margin trading, lets you have up to 200x leverage, so if you shorted BTC and it went down $50 without going up at all, and you close your position, you're walking off with $10,000
