I have 45 trades total for 2017 and I never margin traded.

I doubt this will cause me much trouble.

Not figuring out what my short term and long term capital gains tax rate will cause me more trouble.

I think my short term is 10% and my long term is 0%. But I really don't know because California has the 2nd highest tax rate in the world.

Do I use state or federal tax rates?
