Nah fampi, the train is stopped at a station right now, an expensive station that no other coins' trains have reached as of yet

aantonop explains it best when he talks about bitcoin scaling; no other coin has been able to scale to the level of bitcoin /before/ bitcoin
After bitcoin blazes a path forward, other coins can and do follow after, and do so more cheaply as well
People will not jump ship for any shitcoin that is simply a "better bitcoin", at least not yet
We are not in the stage where we must determine what technical specifications a widespread cryptocurrency must have, like masternodes or sidechin support networks or whatthehellever else, we are instead in a time where it must be determined WHAT problems there actually ARE for a widespread cyrptocurrency, and as was before and as is now, most of the brainpower and consideration of these hurdles is going toward BTC
