Remind me again why anyone would buy goods with a volatile commodity?

Ironically Tether would be the best coin to have a visa partnership.

i dont even know why litecoin is still around
>sofware fork of btc
>will have the same issues of btc if it gets a lot of transaction volume
>not as close as much hashpower as btc has
>creator sold off all his coins and still keeps fudding this piece of shit

>> No.7285608

Is this a meme? Who the fuck would use crypto as an actual currency?

>> No.7285619

So why buy stocks?

Reality is Who cares if it’s volatile as long as it trends up? If I buy litecoin today for 100 and gain purchasing power do I care if it moves from 300 to 200? I don’t because my purchasing power still went up.

This purchasing power model breaks down if it’s upward trend is broken which it seems like now.

Volatility is not a problem. It’s trend is a problem.

That's my point. Like stocks, you buy crypto to invest in the hopes that they increases in value.

You wouldn't want to chip away at your stack for everyday purchase with a volatile "currency"

If the price goes up, you got ripped off for a pizza.
If the price goes down, pizza maker gets ripped off.

the thing is its so unstable because a choosen few hold most of the coins its just speculation for now
if more people used crypto for everyday usage the coins would have been spread amongst more peuple thus would be more stable
example there will only be 21 million btc ever now look at the world population

Still doesn't matter, if it's even a tiny bit more volatile than fiat, then why use it over fiat.

It would have to be an infinite supply with zero volatility, almost like tether.

fiat is volatile too but nobody notices it because (((they))) controll it

Then the same thing with retirement kicks in. Say you spend 5% but litecoin increases 6%. You can retire. But now litecoin and other coins are trashed. No way would I stay in it.

Plus whales are leaving. Vitalik holds a lot of eth and he’s selling his stash. Charlie sold his. Probably winklevoss are unloading

best part is consumers aren't even buying shit with litecoin when they use litepay. Their coins are traded into fiat (with a fee), and then the merchant gets paid in fiat and still has to pay the 3% visa (((fee))). the consumer would be better off selling the litecoin themselves on gdax and withdrawing the fiat themselves and buying their stupid walmart shit with fiat
