The value in Thor power comes from anyone that wishes to use the system. Since they've partnered with pwc and dnl gv (large shilling corporations) they're likely to capture a large sector of businesses that wish to have a secure tracking protocol, but without the costs of IT maintenance and overhead. Essentially they are hiring node operators with Thor power and cutting costs doing so. The supply of Thor has to be manipulated to keep costs stable and low enough for businesses to want to use the system, but high enough for node operators (who by the way also get a vote in the supply generation). The reason BTC is failing is because the price is so volatile that businesses do not want to hold it. As much as I want to see the price go up forever this is not sustainable without the low cost incentive for businesses to own it. Its hard to put a price on the actual value, but I think we are far from over considering the potential of market share.
