You can buy when price goes up, hoping it will continue going up, and sell for 5% loss if it goes down. Eventually you catch a decent raise, and you make up for some of the 5% losses.

You can buy and just HOLD for long term

But you never buy/sell because you think you can predict which way it will go. It is a gamble. You have to have a strategy that minimizes losses.

I bought BTC at 15k and im just holding for now, my portfolio is well spread enough that I dont rely on btc. Though I should have sold it at some point, i just didnt bother to keep track.

Get ready to buy back if it raises to 10k or 11k, and get ready t oseel again if after that it goes low. Or get lucky and score a nice gamble
