They're bitter at the early adopters, whose fortune they wish to replicate buying cheap alts. They buy into the "muh blockchain" meme, missing entirely the fundamentals of crypto. They fall for the shameless marketing attempts by complete vaporware projects and continually bleed money.

Yes, bitcoin is slow and expensive. Why? Because it's the ONLY coin actually being used in the real world. If there was a clear solution to scaling the blockchain it'd be done - there isn't.

And if/when that solution is ever found bitcoin will be waiting to implement it. This ecosystem is open-source by design. It's also outside the reach of patents. So anything alts can do, bitcoin can replicate.

But there is something far more important than tech that alts can NEVER replicate. And that is the coin distribution. Today, alts are largely fraud. They are pre-mined or more commonly simply printed from thin air and given to the developers, the team, the company, and close friends. Do you actually think the new store of value is going to be some shit token printed by some company? Where a huge majority is held by this company, its faculty, and close associates? Who the fuck would voluntarily join this system?

ETH's network consists mostly of ICO scams right now. It is not being used in the real world at all.
