Can someone give me some guidance? Kind of lost with career path.

Electrician vs business..

Basically, I went to a trade school at first because Iong story short, no debt+cap at 60k. I didnt like it because of the rough culture and labor. I can do the labor but for some reason it depresses me. Kind of weird since i used to do like 17k pushups in a month with 45 lb as a 16 yr old etc. Maybe it's a prestige thing that bothers me.

I am currently a junior as well. Online ba so i can work full time. I have little debt. Business admin. with a concentration in economics.

Long story short, only bites I've really gotten with the business side of things have been from mlm companies (not pyramid schemes). One for selling free phones (gov funded program) and the other for selling a good quality marketable product for females at a cheap price.
Thing is they start u off in sales and i really dont feel comfortable going out and trying to sell a product (even if they are not really that hard to sell imo). Basically both look to promote in about a yr. The phone one seems to be expanding faster. They basically want to make a person eventually recruit their own team and recycle the process.

Long story short, I wanted to do something business related (and possibly math based) that is basically anything but sales. I guess i have the same problem with sales as i do with the labor thing. It's not really prestiges or brain stimulating. Im not looking for hardcore difficulty but just something a bit more challenging (electrical isn't 100%simple, it at least does have tricky stuff to it at times).

I'm half tempted to just pursue the electrician path and have a person ik try to hook me up into a union (almost happened. Longish story to explain why i didnt get in but i have another chance).

I just want a bit of advice and am wondering what your opinion is in terms of where you see the most potential. If you were me, what would you do?

I was thinking of joining the union that my buddy is in and get certified for HVAC in 5 days. He also became a journeyman in a period of about 6 months instead of 4-5 years.

I was thinking maybe an HVAC business. I mean I guess.

Business administration degree opens no doors unless you plan on starting your own business

My recommendation, if you really like economics, is to become a data analyst. Take some courses to get certified in common data software like Tableau and/or Pardot. If you don't think you're that great at math, learn some simple shit like Google Analytics and become a marketing data analyst.

You'll be making 50k+ starting and move up the latter in a skill that every industry is hiring for.

You are being a vagina, and sales are entirely based on not being a vagina.
gtfo of sales then do the electrician gig. Better money and work in the long run. Thank random anon on 4chan 20 years later.

Ridiculous and untrue.

Business Administration degrees open up the path to entry level office work. While it helps to have a connection, you will need education or some sort of "in" if you want to start climbing the business ladder in anything other than a menial job.

Also, a data analyst position would require some sort of degree in order to be considered unless you have something else that would get you in the door.

yeah, shitty entry level jobs in data entry and records clerking that go nowhere. BA is oversaturated and nonspecific.

trust me, get into a specific business field like data analysis and learn key software important for business and you will go farther.

to rise up and become a manager, most companies want to send you back for an MBA anyway

Business degree is a meme.
Electrician can be excellent if it’s union.
