The only reason they want to put the blockchain in space is because they're afraid of the government. I didn't want to buy into this because it's clearly run by conspiracy theorists and I don't trust them to execute a world-changing vision that will have real-world impact.

It's reasonable not to trust the government. For someone involved in shady dealings, something like XMR serves an obvious need.

But cryptocurrency is still in its infancy. Its 500 billion market cap is still less than Apple or Amazon. Conspiracy theorists and criminals who want to hide their assets from the government are not a sufficiently large enough group to take it to the mainstream. Those uses are already "priced in", so to speak. For it to be a part of our everyday life, that "partnership" meme is absolutely necessary.

Was SpaceX's partnership with NASA a meme not worth buying into? No, of course not. Crypto is not some magical domain that doesn't benefit from real world usecase.

People will make money from shitcoins. I've made six figures from shitcoins. But now that I have, the only way I'm going to rest easy at night is by putting them into things that I KNOW will be used by real world companies to generate profit.
