Old news from 6th dec and all the weak hands are getting played by (((them)))

Do you really think they would keep printing after the subpoena?
Neither have they done an exit scam in the craziest bull run.

Starting to believe that Tether is really legit and just scared to show their bank accounts.

so what if it gets shut down, there has been real money going into btc at levels above 10K ($250 and $1000 buyer here) so they estimated that those levels represented a fair valuation. also, where do you think all that USDT will be flowing once it gets shut down?
Disclaimer: never touched tether myself, what's the point when you can just short on 'mex when you feel like it's overbought

No. They don't, but they have the possibility to freeze bank accounts, therefore bitfinex aka tether will never reveal anything.

Tether is one of the best hedgings tools, which is avaible on nearly every exchange.

It gives you the ability to avoide cashing out.

And those are the reasons why bitfinex has so many enemies.

what?? Just open a short position with as little as 10% of your holding with a x10 leverage on bitmex if you think that it will tank (use less leverage if unsure of course).
All those using tether as a hedge deserve to lose every penny

lmao about everyone calling a tether exchange his main exchange. There are dozens of smaller exchanges that let you cash out and cash in in literal seconds, and those are in jurisdictions which require them to hold funds equal to the deposits their customers make. Tether exchanges are for noobs and stupid money willing to lose everything, because unable to cash out.

OP are you paid to FUD this? I imagine so, but it's the same threads, every day. Is it because the market is recovering and you haven't hit your rebuy? I sold the high and bought the dip and made a few thousand, I just went with market sentiment and I didn't assume I could control it a whole market by myself or wit ha small group of people.

I don't understand this, can someone explain these threads to me?

Why not?
They've already done the deeds that would get them in trouble, why wouldn't they try to max out before the party gets shut down and use the proceeds to attempt a getaway? Totally false premise of the absolute worse wishful thinking kind that someone coming under regulatory investigation is a good thing that proves good intentions.

IF Tether and Bitfinex were honest they would have told their clients about the subpoenas when they received them in December. What lollypopland fantasy excuse do you have for that?

The collapse of Tether, Bitfinex, and the implosion of crypto is a big story anon. Lot of peope will want to write and read books on how the early 21st century tulip mania was created by printing monopoly money that people WILLINGLY accepted as real USD because of techobabble.

Yeah but they still missed out on profit while a lot of things could have gone wrong. This time might be even worse since there is a real chance of a flippening when the market hits bottom.
