What amount of tax-free cash would I have to give you right now, so that you would leave crypto forever and just go to live your life?
For me it's around $1.2M. Considering that the average income in Germany a year is around $32k after taxes that would give me a full income for about 37 years. And since I always save at least 30% per month I'd pretty much be set for life. In the meanwhile I'd start pursuing my hobbies and make games, compose music, draw stuff. And honestly - with 40+ years left I'd get a lot more additional income some way or another anyway.

$1.2m would be enough to get 2 or 3 nice rental properties going and live comfortably (although not luxuriously) for life.

Maybe $5 million. I could bump down to part time at work so I can focus on other hobbies. Like bodybuilding, traveling, fucking, etc. And I'd feel comfortable splurging on a few toys and house.

5 mil. I've got at most 40 years left in me, and 125k/yr would be enough for a comfortable life, occasional traveling, and the odd emergency.

Yeah, you wouldn't live the life of a rich person, but you would be able to live above the standard and don't have to work a day on your life. Not even sure if you need rental properties. I'd just live from my bank account.

How do you get that idea? I'm been living off my savings for 2 years and spent a collective $37k in that time. I have everything I need, buy electronics all the time, take my girl to nice restaurants and still don't really spend anything. I just feel like there's a lot of useless crap I'd get bored off in a few days anyway.

You should be able to make 5-9% on conservative investments, so if you had $1.2M you should be able to bring in ~80K before taxes.

5 million.

I'd buy a nice house or condo, switch to comfy part time work, and just focus on hobbies and travel
