I funded a business with cc debt, it worked great, paid it off, etc.

Business fell on hard times so I whipped the cc back out, this time things didnt turn around and I fell heavily into cc debt.

Paid them monthly until I literally couldnt. After I stopped, theyd send me letters saying if I just paid 20% theyd forget the debt. I was like what the fuck, if I known this I would have stopped before the end and just paid it off that way.

I already had my mortgage and excluded my car loan from the filing. There were so many personal property immunities that I literally gave up nothing. Student loans still have to be paid, but they will garnish your tax return for it so whatever. It was a full chapter 7 dismissal, not a chapter 10 restructuring and companies were still sending secured credit card offers to help rebuild my credit before the ink was even dry.

Do I recommend it? No. But personally the consequences to me were zero.
