There is no contradiction in being both a capitalist and a socialist.

I know, I know, it sounds crazy. But you have to remember, you're American and you have no idea what "socialism" means.

>>There are small business owners who self-identify as "Marxist"

Perhaps they subscribe to Marx's ideas of the end of history, more so than what he wrote in The Communist Manifesto.

>>"Socialist"

Look up "mixed economy". It's what the developed world uses, including the USA.

Also, again, you're American, so you have no idea what "socialist" means.

>>"Anti-Capitalist"

So destroying capitalism from within is not a valid strategy?

It strikes me that you have not thought about these questions for any length of time, or if you have, you're knowledge base is lacking, or your imagination is lacking. Please be aware that people and organizations do not generally fall into neat, discreet categories like they do in children's stories, or on the news.

Communism, despite what Glenn Beck may have told you, is fundamentally the idea that the means of productions should be owned by the workers. This doesn't preclude joint enterprises, just the existence of a class of non-labor owners (i.e. capital). A factory owned by its workers, a coffee shop by its baristas, or a small business by its sole employee, are all 100% in agreement with this principle and there's no daylight between him and Marx.

I mean, someone can be convinced by the falling rate of profit and utilize the materialist reading of history and still work within the structure because one dissenter will do nothing.

By the way, individualist anti-capitalism is a thing. Stirnerists, for instance, believe the individual is stifled by wage work and industrial anxiety.

No, he's autistic based on the content of his post.

You are all debating actual politics but you never forgot to think about image. Politics is to most people is just an extension of culture, basically what group you fit into. It can also be trendy. Even if this people aren't all these people aren't consciously doing this to deceive people. Most of them have received social reinforcement for whatever politics they want to talk. So they just keep going along with it, and start to see things that way.

No, but anybody who associates Marxism or socialism with the absence of any forms of private enterprise probably is

We're all 'involved in a capitalist enterprise', whether we own a business or not. That's the system we live in, for better or worse.
The fact that someone advocates reform, doesn't mean that they are somehow being inconsistent simply by continuing to exist in the world as it currently is. That's absolute nonsense.

arguably they are just doing what is practical, it is possible to make a profit under capitalism and use the profits to fund revolutionary activities

however marxism, socialism and anti-capitalism are flawed ideas that are irrationally biased against autonomy and place excessive emphasis on centralization

I'd say it's anti autism, autists see everything in black and white not shades of grey.

>is fundamentally the idea that the means of productions should be owned by the workers.

Which is fundamentally flawed and has failed every time it has been tried with small businesses.

Giving Larkeesha, Pablo, and Tyrone, equal say in the business is just illogical
