I'm kind of the opposite. In my 20s I was like "oh fuck, better get my degrees and licenses and climb the corporate ladder!" Then I turned 30 and I was like, FUCK THAT shit.

No I'm in my mid 30s, collecting autism bux and fucking around with the arts and what not.

I'd rather be poor and free, than to be somebody's bitch for a middle class wage.

Dude, that shit is depressing. I know I will get burnt out of work to some degree, but that is why I try to raise my salary and save as much as I can. Plus, it's really not too bad to sit at a desk and talk to people for 40hrs a week and make good money.

28, have less than 1 year of work experience and it's un-cohesive, unreadable and embarrassing. I tried to get a job by doing 6 hours of unpaid volunteer work a day for 6 months, I was employed for two months before being laid off from the minimum wage job they gave me out of sheer guilt. In the intervening turmoil I have become a chain smoker, a drunk, a stoner and somewhat fat. I do have extensive computer skills including building and repairing them, but nobody cares about that skill I notice. Beyond that I'm intelligent, train easily and have been told I "ask great questions", probably because I always ask about the thing they forgot to tell me. Oh, and I'm a white male living in CA and have been told to my face "you don't need this job" referring to the fact I'm cis scum or whatever. My best friend moved to MO to work in a General Mills factory, I now have no real life friends at all.

Kill self, Y/N?

im just starting to get into biz, is history of the trade worth anything in this field?

and I hope you're on /biz/ to make your own money, right?

If so, then we are somewhat similar.

It's better to have someone give you their hard-earned money than have an corporate automated pay system throw a certain amount of shekels at you every few weeks.
