Klaus Swchab wrote a chapter on Smartcontract.com (Chainlink) in his book the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He's going to name drop a certain token that rhymes with "klauslink" in passing at Davos tomorrow (confirmed) and is the president of the world economic forum; needless to say, this guy fucks, and he fucks hard. I hope you accumulated; this isn't priced in though so you still have time.
>>6849585you are making shit up
Priced in.
>>6849634I don't lie about chainlink. The book is in several languages but only the french version has the page available on google books. >>6849679>it's legitFor some reason I can't see myself being rich from chainlink. Like it's not real

>>6849679i aint clickin that shit nigga
Shit, cousin coming over on Thursday so I can get him set up with crypto. Hope it isnt too late to shill him Link.
>>6849679Translate someone
Holy shit it's actually mentioned by name in the book. I don't know french so I can't say what it means but holy shit. Is there like a conspiracy where every banker knows about ChainLink but never talks about it or something? Is this why the team is so quiet about everything because they already have all these bankers ready to use LINK? I feel like I'm in a dream and I don't know what's real any more.
>>6849982you lazy piece of dog shit. i found the torrent, downloaded the book, and searched for smart contract.
>mfw it is actually true
>comfy
>>6849982smartcontract.com offers programmable contracts that make payments between two parties after checking certain criteria, without any intermediary intervening. These contracts are secured by the blockchain, endowed with the (self-executing) status, which eliminates the risk of having a third party to execute them
What. The. Fuck.I want to buy more link, but I was waiting for the FUN mainnet launch. Oh god, what the fuck do I do, I wanted to get to 20k.
>>6850077checked, confirmed and kekd
>>6850039Nah, smartcontract.com is mentioned in a ton of articles and books like this because writers are lazy as fuck and just typed in "Smartcontract.com" when doing cursory research. They know nothing specific about sergey or chainlink or smartcontract.com. This is a shit coin, don't believe the shilling.
dear god. we've already all made it.
>>6850039If they are working with banks, then there is almost certainly an NDA.Big Banks are VERY cautious about shit that is new, and this is very new, but the potential certainly outweigh the potential risks. That being said, the banks will most likely utilize each other's nodes for accessing off-chain data such as securities and bonds.Using a solution like ChainLink, or more specifically smartcontract.com, reduces their risks in investing into cryptos, and as a result they'll be able to invest more moeny. While there is a lot of hype around this, the way in which you place a bid/request for a node (you make a smart contract), is not very clear at this time. This leads me to believe that the banks will be working directly with one another, and not utilizing the decentralized (LINK) version on the solution
>>6850168>d-doesn't count, th-they don't know Sergey's mother's maiden name and social security number!cope
>>6850039yep, thats why it has a boring logo and shit marketing. its all because ((they)) dont want YOU to have any
I'm not even joking, pages 156 and 157 are ommited from the preview, the pages that smartcontracts.com would be on...
>>6850190yes the banks will run thousands of nodes themselves, while a ready to go nodes are waiting for assignments.>le they will create their own solution fud again

Yo wtf this shit real?
What the actual fuck?Have LINK memes finally made it outside of /biz/?Have we actually scratched the surfface of the public consciousness? This can't be happening. I am 900 LINK short of a 10k stack
>>6850526The entire book can be found on b-ok.org. Check the /lit/ sticky and you will see a link to that site. >>6851682I think we're seeing clear signs of accumulation and it seems happy to keep paying current prices. Watch for movements in BTC/ETH, because institutional money is likely buying based on fiat price. But I suspect we'll see it inch up as more gets accumulated this week until it explodes in value when the demand starts to swallow the order book whole. This is still crazy low volume for this coin, and even a single bank jumping in is going to dump enough that it sends the price soaring if they decide to just market buy instead of trying to buy the cheap LINK that trickles out.

Well, it means we were right all along, probably. But it doesn't say anything about the immediate future per se. Something might happen at Davos, something might not. It's probably not worth hyping up. If I'm taking something away from this however, it's confidence. I might accumulate some more link and even sell some shitcoins at a loss to do so. >>6852641Dr Jemma Green from Power Ledger will also speak at the WEF.
>>6852784You indeed are. I heard about Ethereum when it was still a whitepaper from a friend in banking tasked with researching blockchains. LINK has been part of the plan for years and will make for a clear turning point for institutions adopting blockchain tech. 2017 was just a sneak preview of what's to come. By 2019, institutional money will have pushed the crypto market cap to become worth trillions.
Nothing will happen at the conference but yeah, we will be rich.
>>6852792The current trip is in pic related.
I actually had an insight about link last night, could someone help me check my logic?Since link is not a currency and it's used solely for node staking, that means that the price will follow the ROI you get with staking the coins. Now, say we all pool our link together in a smartcontract to make a node, we would amass about what? 10MM link? that number seems okay since we are not banks and they are the ones hoarding the most link. Which means, we will have just 1% of the network control. With that in mind, will we even be competitive against the banks in PoS? Because if we are not competitive, that means it's not worth holding the coin and we will sell it.Now here is the catch, since it's not profitable to stake the coin, no one is gonna want to buy link from us, meaning that the price will pretty much plummet. The only people that would be willing to buy are the banks to increase their node even more, but they will not buy at high prices, mainly because they know that it doesn't make sense for us to hold link, if it's not profitable to stake. That would lead to link having very low price.Does that make sense? I hope I'm wrong, because I want link to be worth a lot, but that won't happen if the retailers node pool is not competitive against institutional nodes.
>>6852830>Dr

>>6853111it's because of high test from buying all that LINKnah, it's a fish eye lense probably, even freaking Tom Cruise would look bald from that perspective
>>6853076Correct me if I'm wrong, but the correct thing would be "the more links --> the more your node gets picked in PoS for assignments--> the more money you make". My fear is that we do not have enough collective link to pool together and have a competitive node to be chosen in the PoS enough for it to be profitable to hold the coin.
QuestionsWhy doe the referenced French tralation have different cover art and a different price in euros to the English landguage version? Why is the font different and the index cruely done unlike the English version?Honest answers on postcard because if this is a fake shill thread then link is perfectly finished as a scamcoin.
>>6849679Fuck. Guess I’m going all in. Who are you, OP?
>>6853177the amount of LINK you have is only 1 of the factors deciding your reputation, and even with that it's up to the contract creator to choose the node operators at the end. >>6852933All nodes are valuable because they stability and depth to the decentralised network. It is necessary for the reward system to benefit all participants in contracts, provided they perform their task correctly (ie don't incur penalty payments for bad shit). Why would the team employ a system that destroys the value of their coin and weakens the network by pushing out 1000s of potential nodes?

Guys...I was thinking, maybe ChainLink just bought the address that was in this book. Perhaps even unintentionally, simply to make sure that no one could make a fake website etc with a similar address.https://www.whois.com/whois/smartcontracts.comAm I wrong in my understanding of this lookup?Continous ownership since 1998?1998...What is this fucking illuminati shit? Did they create bitcoin and blockchain technology as a test run for smart contracts and ChainLink? We don't know who or what Satoshi is.
>>6850522Now to ruin everybody's fun, looks like the paragraph in the book (actually the entire page) is just copied from this report which was released before the book. If you read the report it lists 21 things that they think will be big technological things in the future, and they provide one real life example for each thing. Thing #16 is bitcoin and the blockchain, and the real life example they gave for it was smartcontracts.com.So what probably happened is:>Ok grunt analyst, thing #16 is bitcoin and we need a real life example of it being used, go find one>Yes sir>Grunt analyst does some googling and finds smartcontract.com, puts it in the report as a real life example>Some time later, ol' Schwab copies the entire report into his book, including the reference to smartcontract.comI wouldn't be too hyped about this.

OP here. Wow I went to go get a 40 and expected to be called a faggot repeatedly by the time I cam back. This board has really gone to shit. This was an intentional troll in which I shared information that has been posted on 4chan hundreds of times over the past 4 montsh, samefagged my own thread with shilling and FUD, made up information and connected dots which have no right to be connected, etc., yet barely got called out on any of that. What happened to the autism? Any half knowledgable link holder should know all of these points. Are you all just normalfags holding less than 25k link expecting to be spoonfed everything? You linkies digust me. You're so deluded you don't realize that link is nothing more than a simple Jason Parser that could be written in javascript in a few minutes. it doesn't even need a token. Speaking of tokens, link being more than $1 defeats the entire fucking purpose of the coin. How can you be this oblivious? What real world use does link even have? Have you ever thought beyond the memes and the charts and really considered it? Nobody uses smart contracts because nobody wants to get involved in white supremacist internet funny money. Banks aren't going to adopt it because they make money off of things taking forever, and normies don't know any better. And that's not even talking about the 'team', which is literally two people. They haven't even hired anyone. Did you miss all of the reports of Sergey fucking prostitutes and eating cheeseburgers after the ICO was finished? Hope you got your $32MM worth, retards. This is also all completely ignoring the fact that link is just an ERC20 token. What other token has made it past, say, $2? Can you name a single one? Exactly, no, you cant.Even Vitalik says it's not worth $32MM. Are you going to disagree with the autistic genius money skelly? Of course he understands the value of oracles, that's why he's going to include it in the next ETH update (cap this). Why the fuck would he leave something like this to a no-name shitcoin? Use your fucking brain manlets. This is also all completely ignoring the fact that Ripple (XRP) will effectively put bank supercomputers in every major city, completely removing any use LINK ever may have had. If you believe in oracles, great, why not pick a project that has an actual fucking future?OH LOOK, IT'S CRASHING AGAIN, SURPRISE. Fucking deluded stinky linkies.
