Is printing Tether Quantitative easing or just the way that "tethering" works? Tether is supposed to be "tethered" to USD value. If it was traded without interference in the market, the value would not be affixed to the dollar, it would change with supply/demand. What mechanism does the issuer of Tether have to influence the price of T? It can buy back Tether if the value were to drop below 1 USD or it can sell more if the value were to go higher. If they did not print more of the damned thing, how would they keep the price down anon?
