So now that we know that there is bear market, why aren't more people buying bitcoin and then shorting it, making shitload of money. I just bought $3000 worth of bitcoin and once it arrives in my coinbase wallet I am going to short it and make money once it drops under $4k. Any flaws in my plan?

That’s not called shorting. That’s buying a dip.

Shorting is when you make a deal to sell a stock in the future at the current price.
For instance: I will sell you 100 BTC in a month at today’s price. If the price goes down, I make money because, in order to cover the sale, I can buy the BTC cheaper than what I sold it for.
