Right chums. I need non-retarded (preferably unironic) advice here.

>in uni
>need to do work placement
>don't want to wageslave because crypto is so lucrative
>decide to go balls-deep algo trading path, building my own PC for minimum latency

>now have to convince uni to let me start my own "algorithmic trading business" instead of finding a placement

How the fuck do I convince them to let me trade shitcoins? I can't even find stuff on how to make a business plan for this type of solo venture.

Knowing /biz/, this will probably be a 0 replies thread and get archived to accommodate for 25 deluded linkie threads

Check if it at all possible to do placement in your own company type - your counselor should be able to answer that. If not, go set up your own company in the name of someone else and get placement in that company within whatever it is you want to do.

I know it's possible to start your own business as I know of a guy in the year above me who did it. I just want them to believe that my idea is plausible

if you don't even know what that means and you're trying to do "algorithmic trading"....you're not going to make it. hope your philosophy degree works out for you, anon.

Calm down you monkey. I mean how do I implement cloud computing for my software? I've never needed to use it before, just Python for my non-philosophy course. I've made plenty of trading bots with it before and this is the first I've ever heard of doing it otherwise.

What are you studying exactly? I know someone who did a thesis on the waiting time until the next block is found and he received some funding for crypto that he simply never needed. But if the market went to shit maybe it could have gone ugly. Also

Do it.

Ico whales run the market. You might as well be an ico investor.

Look at papers by professors in your uni, there's always someone wanting to play with neural network models for markets. Boom, internship. Even if it trades like shit, they get to write a paper and get paid. Convincing them that you want your input to be crypto is probably not the hardest thing.

Not a bad shout, although I don't like the idea of essentially working for the professor and reporting back to them. Would rather be my own boss
