daily reminder that you don't own your money, stocks and any other assets and they don't hold any real value.

>telegram creating their own coin, more IT companies will follow this trend

>mortage brokers, shipping companies, and banks using Corda, a non token/ico crypto

It will only get worse, then people will realize how useless their coins that "promise big things" really are.

>implying I hold coins
Lmao I cashed out at the ATH now I buy stocks with exposure to coins if I want them. If I can’t get the coin this way it is probably a low volume shitcoin. Taxes are easy and handled by my broker. Plus I benefit from regulations like circuit breakers and such.

Only difference is that one can be used to make actual purchases and pay employees while another has basically no use beyond transfers, which is mediocre at best

Scarce things that you actually own can have value in a free market, unlimited resources that can be created at will and others own it in your name will never really have actual value.

But it's true. Unless you store your money yourself, you are trusting 3rdparty to store imatinary numbers in their database and expect them to be able to back up with paper when you "cash out". When you buy assets such as stocks, you don't again own them but someone "holds them for you". Such assets are also not backed by anything real, it's just speculation on company's value.
>b-but shareholders can affect company's future
So? You can do the same thing with cryptocurrency, they aren't only used for money

>Only difference is that one can be used to make actual purchases
Meantime, I've purchased goods and even fucking chocolate and reindeer jerky.

>basically no use beyond transfers, which is mediocre at best
Have you ever tried to transfer huge amounts of money outside from your country? Have you ever got red flagged by your bank? Have your money ever got tainted?

why can you pay them with fiat?
right because everyone accepts it
how would this be different from a fast feeless decentralized crypto?
if stores would accept it you could pay them with that
its all just a mind game
imagine if you were around when the switch from trading goods to money was made i bet there were people like you autistic screeching everywhere
