How do I predict precious metals prices to swing or daytrade gold ETFs successfully? I know people do this, so how is it done? Anyone know?

>> No.674072

You have to understand what influences precious metal supply and demand (unless you're using pure TA).

Well that's sort of obvious. I mean, is everyone just using technical analysis? Someone has to have some degree of certainty of which way the price is moving, because people are making money off of these ETFs.

try predicting das future.

i.e surge in electronics produce (iphone for example.) will shorten supply by a bit resulting in higher prices.

also keep a close eye on precious metal producing countries, especially the African ones since they are more prone to war n shit.

it helps to look into research that are based on replacing rare metals in devices which could benefit you if you short.

you get the idea. it's literally what this dude >>674072

Miner here.

Unless you have field-level, proprietary knowledge about certain prospects, based on first-hand knowledge from geologists or the mining engineers, you have no business speculating in metals.

That implies that new supply from mining is particularly relevant.

I was referring more to investments in junior mining companies.

On average, 1 in 25 mines that go into production have the ore grades and necessary geology to become profitable over their lifespans.

Personally, I don't "get" gold myself, but I know there is a chunk of the population that likes to hold on to it in tumutuous times, so I'd advise anyone to have a small part of their portfolio in gold or gold futures.

I don't see how anyone can make a reliable living on speculating in gold ETFs..

Actually, it's better to forecast.

Wait for news that should send gold higher - this means the price will go down.

Go long after massive amounts of naked shorts get dumped on the market at odd hours and the price falls.
